What Does it Take to be an ICT Student?
ICT, we know that it’s about computers – history, parts, function, and the important uses. At first, on my first year in this school, I thought that this subject will be that hard – because I know that a computer is a very complicated machine – but it was not.
For me, being an ICT student is not that hard, you just need a deep understanding about computers, its parts and functions. And in every activity like making a web designs, working on Adobe Photoshop CS3/CS4, and having a blog, you just need to have a wide imagination and creativity to make your work an awesome one.
I just want to thank our teacher in ICT-IV, Mrs. Evelyn Vera Cruz, in teaching us on every lessons we had, like working on Photoshop, Blogs, and making a web design.
I like to be an ICT student, because for me, it’s fun and I can have more knowledge on computers.
My Dream, My Future
Dream… What is dream for you? At first time you’ll hear it I know that the first thing that comes in to your mind is the one that happens while you are sleeping. But dream is not just dreaming, a dream can be you’re plan – a plan for the future and for your own betterment or for others.
Having a dream can make you strive harder to reach it. It is like a soccer game wherein you’re dream be your goal and to be able to reach it, you must exert more and more effort.
Dream must not always stay as a dream. A dream must be grant and make it real. Grant that dream for yourself, for them, for us, for the betterment of life.
We must always remember that a dream is made to have a goal in life. Move and make it real and take it seriously.

Kannawidan: The Ylocos Festival
Festivals… well, I know that we are already used to these occasions. Here, in the Philippines, is one of the countries who have so many festivals the whole year round. There’s the Panagbenga Festival in Baguio, the great Higantes Festival in Mindoro, Maskara Festival in Bacolod, Pintados Festival in Tacloban, and many other Festivals. And here at Ilocos Sur, we’ve got the Festival called Kannawidan.
Kannawidan Festival has just started a few years before. It is one of the youngest Festivals here in the Philippines. Well, “Kannawidan” is an Ilocano word which means “group”. This Festival was made so that the Ilocanos will be bind together and will have a stronger friendship to each other.
This year, the Kannawidan has so many shows including the Siglat Ylocandia (a local version of PGT- a show of ABS-CBN network), Saniata, Zarzuela, and more.
Yes, Philippines have many Festivals but, even if it was like that, we will always be FILIPINOS.

Reflection
Third Grading’s out and Fourth Grading’s Coming in………….But, wait! How about a recall to what we learned on our ICT class? This Third Grading we learned to design a website. We applied all the things we have learned the last grading period. We repeated all the things we learned like HTML tags, changing font size, name, and color, adding pictures and background pictures, and linking. We are all happy because we have done our project very well and we have recalled our past lessons. So, be ready for the Fourth and Last Grading^^,
What Difference Can You Make?
Can you make a difference? Can you change other people’s life? Can you change yourself for the betterment of others?
Sharing ideas, experiences and meaningful things in life to others can make a lot of difference. Sharing can change the life of others. It teach them how to make things right, can correct their bad ways and change the future in them. Continue sharing so you can make more difference and so as to change lives.
What about a much more difference? Sharing ideas, experiences and meaningful things in life to children can make a much more difference. They are the future, the new generation, the future leaders, and the one to make our world to its betterment.
New Year, New Me
Every year, when calendar restarts, everyone has a plan of changing. It was like a tradition to everyone so that they’re friends will always like them.
Change is always a part of our lives and will always be a part of it. But the biggest change in our lives can be every year. Because every other year we always have a new chapter of our lives and new chapter can lead to a new personality.
My new year had changed me in some things. It changed me the way I look, talk, think. Changed me the way I was before. Changing was just normal for me because change is a thing that corrects your bad ways.

“Keeping in Mind Our Mother Tongue”
Mother tongue… is this word new to you? Well, I am also curious about it when I first met this phrase. What if they told you when they say that “Keep in mind your mother tongue,” what will be the first thing that comes in to your mind?
Mother tongue is a phrase which means “first language” or national language. We, Filipinos, are loyal to our country, which was one of the main reasons to make us known worldwide. Mainly in loving the history of it and keeping in our mind the people who made a name in this country.
Our language “Tagalog” must be the most important to keep in our heads. It is our own trademark in the world. It helps us communicate to other easily. We must love it because it’s our own, one which came in our own land, and own. Like Jose Rizal, our national hero, once said, “Ang hindi marunong magmahal sa sariling wika ay mas masahol pa sa malansang isda.”
We must love our own language because it is in every Filipinos soul and in every man who wasted they’re lives just for our country.
